Even since the 17th century in Tyrol’s oldest distillery with copper equipment, high-quality distillates were made. The distillery’s history embodies experience, and also quality, from Austria. To make Erber fine brandy only fully ripe fruit of the best quality and water from the company's own spring is used. Partnerships dating back many years with fruit farmers, all of whom come from the region, are the basis for a good Tyrolean fine brandy or Tyrolean schnapps. Twice distilled, with our own mountain spring water added and stored in wooden casks, fine brandies and schnapps are part of Tyrol’s gourmet culture.

The history of Tyrol’s Brennerei Erber in Brixen im Thale is evidence of along, successful tradition.

• The beginnings of this family business date back into the 16th century: It was at this time when Emperor Maximilian I. guided the state of Tyrol into a lasting economic, political and cultural heyday. Schnapps distilling was a special privilege granted to the Erbers, on one condition: The water from their own spring was first to be used for the people and the cattle, before the rest could then be used for distilling.
• In the meantime, Edelbrennerei Erber became a part of the Pletzer group .
• The product range provided by Erber is a varied one: It extends from the ‘Brixentaler’ range, to ‘Tiroler Schnäpse’ and to the upmarket brand ‘Premium Edelbrände’. Fruit liqueurs, cream liqueurs along with Tyrol Dry Gin, which, along with juniper and a composition of 24 hand-picked botanicals from across the globe, and mountain pasture hay from Brixental, are part of the selection available.
